ORAN PARK DA APPROVED
The Oran Park Anglican Church is proposed to be completed by 2013. The complex is a community focusing form set on a hill overlooking a new outer Sydney suburb. The church will become a significant spiritual anchor for a new community.
The proposal is people friendly, contextually grounded, inspiring, clear in circulation, sensitive to the environment, respectful of neighbours and will be completed with an attention to detail and finish that will have long lasting contribution.
When completed, the complex will house a state of the art 500 seat church auditorium space designed to encourage open contemporary worship. The glazed lobby area opens to a generous forecourt allowing a transparent connectedness with the community. The coloured glass tower is a marker in the community overlaid with thematic concepts it plays a core role in completing the composition of an inspiring complex.
